ABOUT THE WORKSHOP FLORIST
Teresa Wheeler

Faux Flowers, Naturally

Hello, I’m Teresa – founder of The Workshop Florist, a faux flower studio-based in Old Basing, Basingstoke, Hampshire. With over 14 years of experience in the floral industry, I specialise in creating beautifully realistic faux flower arrangements using traditional floristry techniques.

My journey began with fresh flowers, having trained as a professional florist and worked at both Casa Flora in Hook and The Flower Girl in Basingstoke. Today, I bring that same passion and skill to the world of faux florals, designing long-lasting, lifelike arrangements for weddings and all kinds of occasions.

The name The Workshop comes from my previous home, where I first set up a studio in a small carpentry workshop. While the studio has since moved indoors (much warmer!), the name – and its creative spirit – lives on.

I’m a floral fanatic with a love for natural beauty. Roses and sunflowers are my personal favourites, and when I’m not working on designs, you’ll likely find me gardening or spending time with my cat, Eric.

I hold City & Guilds floristry and gardening qualifications, and I’m fully insured and DBS-checked for your peace of mind.

If you're looking for beautifully crafted faux florals, I’d love to hear from you. Whether you’d like a free consultation, a no-obligation quote, or simply want to chat about flowers, feel free to get in touch!

Warm wishes,
Teresa

Faux Floral Experts

I have a small group of lovely trusted faux floral freelance assistants who are always on hand to help me set-up larger wedding installations where necessary.  You may see my daughter helping at wedding fayres and with set up, my husband lending a hand,  and my lovely floristry friends freelancing and working along side me on larger weddings. Together, we take great care to ensure your floral styling  is beautifully created.

The Workshops green policy

Whilst my business isn't 100% environmentally friendly I  strive to make eco-conscious choices where possible.  Faux flowers create little waste, they are imported by sea not air and can be re used.  I use eco-friendly design methods where possible and I recycle all my boxes and packaging. I also use recycled glass where I can.  I offer a hire service for larger designs and a remake service to my wedding clients.
